Dr. Barbara Chang
Dr. Barb is a 1976 cum laude graduate of Loyola University School of Dentistry and a member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon honor society. After 40 years in private practice, She is now working part time at Chang Dental Center.
Dr. Barb also provides free dental services for Chicago’s Pacific Garden Mission. She and her husband enjoy traveling and spending time with their grandchildren.
Dr. Vicki Johnson
Dr. Johnson graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1983 and practiced dentistry there until moving to Chicago. She also spent a year in Thailand, working as a volunteer dentist in a refugee camp.
Dr. Vicki’s hobbies include runnung, biking, and reading.
Dr. Douglas Chang
Dr. Doug is a 2006 graduate from the University of Iowa School of Dentistry. He was a recipient of the Research Assistant Award, and completed a study abroad in the Netherlands at the Radboud School of Dentistry for aesthetics.
Dr. Doug is a delegate to the Illinois State Dental Society and is a past president of West Suburban Dental Society. As a member of the ADA and the Christian Dental Society, he has participated in a dental mission trip to Mavis Bank Jamaica and also volunteers dental services at CDS Foundation Dental Clinic in Wheaton.
Dr. Qiujing Song
Qiujing Song is a graduate of Xiang Ya Medical School, Department of Dentistry. Having completed her DDS credentialing at the University of Illinois, she joined the Chang Dental Center team in 2016.
In her free-time, she and her husband are very busy with their daughter’s activities and their church.
Dr. Megan Davis
Dr. Davis earned her DDS from the University of Indiana. She is a fourth generation dentist, and grew up in rural Indiana. Dr. Davis has also been abroad doing dentistry on the mission field. She has practiced in the Western Suburbs since 2006, and is most passionate about creating beautiful smiles.
Dr. Davis also enjoys oral surgery and implants, and she is certified for conscious sedation.
Dr. Ardeshir Raghian
Dr. Ardeshir Raghian graduated from the University of California at Los Angeles School of Dentistry in 1996, and then received his post-doctoral degree in Periodontology from Northwestern in 1999.
As a board-certified periodontist, he prides himself on ensuring that each patient achieves excellent oral health by first achieving excellent periodontal health.
Dr. Raghian remains committed to ongoing education in order to implement minimally invasive techniques and other advanced methods. His special interests are dental implants, Invisalign, periodontal care and other cosmetic and restorative dental options.
Dr. Christian Olarov
Dr. Cristina Olarov’s career in dentistry started in her native Romania. She immigrated with her husband and began practicing as a general dentist in Oak Lawn after completing the International Dentist Program at University of Illinois College of Dentistry in 2010. Her outstanding academic achievements resulted in three prestigious awards: membership in the Sigma Chapter of Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society, the Dr. Robert Savage Award, and the Astra Implant Award.
Dr. Olarov continued her education at University of Illinois, College of Dentistry, with post-doctoral specialty training in Endodontics. She is now a Board Certified Endodontist, and Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontists, as well as a member of five professional dental societies. In addition to working at Chang Dental Center, Dr. Olarov is also a Clinical Assistant Professor at University of Illinois Chicago, College of Dentistry, in the Department of Endodontics.
Dr. Olarov lives in Naperville with her husband and two daughters. She enjoys spending time with her family, reading and listening to classical music.
Michelle received her training at Northwestern University and has practiced as a hygienist since 1988, in Switzerland, Colorado and the Chicago area.
In addition to cleaning teeth, she enjoys her children, running, biking, and helping her husband at their restaurant, “Tin Fish” in Tinley Park.
MaryBeth is a 1992 Graduate of Northwestern University Dental School. MaryBeth enjoys patients of all ages, from kids to grandparents.
She says, “Teamwork, that’s the key…..between your home care & professional care, together we can help you reach your goals for a healthy mouth. I look forward to meeting you!”
Gardening is a favorite hobby of Mary Beth’s though she and her husband enjoy travel too.
Mindy is a graduate of Northwood University in Michigan, and has been working as a dental hygienist since 2005. Though Mindy and her husband have two children who keep them quite busy, they still find time to travel as much as possible.
Kelli graduated from COD’s Dental Hygiene Program in 2011, and has been in practice since. She and her husband enjoy movies and caring for the children and pets. She hopes to someday have a home care service business, providing oral hygiene to home-bound patients.
Serena received her college education in Illinois and Arizona, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene. She feels that “treating patients as individuals is key to a successful outcome. No two bodies are the same, nor mouths. But we all must EAT, BRUSH AND FLOSS!!
Serena enjoys sewing. She and her husband stay very busy with their three children.
In her native Russia, Marina was born into a family of doctors and scientists, but her first love was music, so her first profession was as a teacher of classical piano. Her father was a dentist in Russia, so after immigrating to the United States, Marina pursued her interest in dentistry and became a hygienist in 2010 after graduating from the College of DuPage. When she’s not cleaning teeth she is probably giving private lessons in classical piano, making vegetarian dishes, practicing meditation, or doting on her new granddaughter.
A graduate of COD’s dental assisting program, Marzena loves working with people and staying busy. She finds the surgical and endodontic procedures the most interesting and challenging.
If she’s not in the office, look for her hiking the top of a Hawaiian mountain or chasing a waterfall in the Grand Canyon as she and her husband love to travel. Marzena is also the proud mama of two Hungarian Vizslas.
Arlene, our sterilization assistant, is usually working quietly “behind the scenes” cleaning, sterilizing and readying all the instruments. We appreciate how she keeps us organized and equipped.
Debbie, our office manager, has been working with Dr. Barb since 1980. Her competence and caring nature have made her the hub of our office, as she fields questions, aids the doctors and shepherds the staff. She and her husband enjoy fly fishing and biking.
Sherry has over 30 years of experience in customer service in one capacity or another. There is no problem too tough for Sherry to tackle. What makes working at Chang Dental most satisfying for her is everyone’s genuine concern for our patients, and the excellent care we provide.
Christina keeps very busy with two teenagers and a set of twins. She is a welcoming smile at the front desk.
Angie, is a Certified Dental Assistant and graduate of Elgin Community College. She is usually at the front desk but is sometimes assisting the dentists as she likes to “keep her hand in” at chairside assisting.
Bill, our beloved information technologist, keeps all our electronics and systems functioning, patiently putting up with our resistance to change.
